Clambake Weekend – September 21 to 23, 2018

Fresh clams and oysters, local vegetables, Moses Farm corn, live music, and our independently brewed beer - a perfect late summer celebration! Join us at our Walloomsac Taproom and Brewery in North Hoosick for a clambake from 3 to 9 pm Friday, 12 to 9 pm Saturday, and 12 to 7 pm Sunday, while supplies last. Live music by Big Stone Gap from 6:30 to 9 pm on Friday, Hillary Chase from 6:30 to 9 pm on Saturday, and The Lane Brothers on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Our regular menu will be available as well.

Hillary Chase – September 22, 2018

Hillary Chase is a prolific song-writer who has been performing in and around western Massachusetts since the age of 10 a Bennington College graduate of the class 2014. Her music has been described as soul/folk and she writes songs of love and change, soul-searching, and travel. She mixes complex imagery with poetic lyrics and structures that range from very simple to intricate and sometimes unexpected. Catch her live at Brown’s Walloomsac Taproom from 6:30 to 9 pm.

The Lane Brothers – September 23, 2018

Brothers Benjamin and Christopher Lane continue the classic brother bluegrass mandolin/guitar duo tradition while at the same time bringing lively interpretations of R&B, jazz and rock and roll tunes along for the ride. From quiet, cocktail-hour acoustic instrumentals to upbeat, soulful and energetic tunes, the duo’s range and musical ability find an appreciative audience in any room. Catch them live at the Walloomsac Taproom from 1 to 4 pm.

Katie Louis – September 29, 2018

The Walloomsac Taproom welcomes Katie Louis, a full time singer/songwriter from Saratoga County, NY, from 6:30 to 9 pm. After studying classical piano for nearly all her life, Katie took a leap of faith when she was 18 years old to pursue her dream of writing successful songs. Katie performs 2-4 nights a week all around New York State and Vermont. Her dedication has led to her performing in Nashville, New York City, and Washington D.C., and opening up for bigger artists like Moriah Formica and the DollyRots.

The wait is finally over! Our Wholly Moses Pumpkin Ale will be released in our Walloomsac Taproom on Wednesday, October 3. Wonder why this delicious fall beer isn’t available until October? We use local pumpkins from the Moses Farm in nearby Eagle Bridge, NY and those pumpkins aren’t ready until early September. Local pumpkins plus hard work equals one very special brew so we hope you’ll join us in savoring a pint and toasting local farmers and the fall harvest.

Washington County Line Band – October 5, 2018

Washington County Line Bluegrass is a traditional bluegrass band from the Capital District/Saratoga region. The five members are experienced bluegrass musicians who have come together to play the music they love. They play the songs of the first and second generation bluegrass bands as well as bluegrass adaptations of early country, folk, and contemporary numbers. This is a band that honors bluegrass traditions by the songs that they select and by the respect that they show for their audience. Band members are: Steve Wood and Sean Quinn, guitars and lead and harmony vocals; Daryl Smith, banjo and harmony vocals; Ken Meyer, bass; and Andy Bing, dobro, mandolin, and harmony vocals.

Hot Club of Saratoga – October 12, 2018

Hot Club of Saratoga, Saratoga/Capital Region’s premier gypsy swing ensemble, plays a repertoire that reflects the spirit and style originated by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli in The Quintet of the Hot Club of France most prominent in the 1930’s and kept alive through a long line of gypsy jazz artists since that time. The driving rhythms under dynamic soloing give the music a life and vibrancy sure to bring a smile and often an irresistible desire to move. Don’t miss this performance at the Walloomsac Taproom from 6:30 to 9 pm.

Derrick Forgét – October 13, 2018

Albany native, Derrick Forgét spent 10 years in Los Angeles as a professional musician. Primarily a rock ‘n roll bass player and background singer, he diversified his style and skill set taking on guitar, keys, harmonica, and percussion. While playing with various rock and pop he developed his songwriting chops, churning out songs for everything from rock bands to a Disney actress. After joining the critically acclaimed rock band, Tsar, he toured the US, UK, and Canada sharing a stage with such acts as Billy Idol, New York Dolls, Social Distortion, Cake, 30 Seconds to Mars, Shinedown, Juliette Lewis, and many other national acts. Catch him live at the Walloomsac Taproom from 6:30 to 9 pm as he delivers a set list of nonstop hits from the ’50s, originals, and today’s chart toppers.

Trivia Night – Mondays

Cure your case of the Mondays! Steve Murray tests your knowledge of the universe during Monday night trivia at 7:30 pm upstairs in the Troy Taproom. Excellent giveaways awarded weekly and, in addition, one Club Brown’s mug club membership is given away the last Monday of the month. Must be present to win. Reservations taken (518-273-BEER).
