Black is Beautiful

Black is Beautiful is a worldwide collaboration organized by Weathered Souls Brewing out of San Antonio, TX to raise awareness for the injustices that people of color face every day in this country. All proceeds go to a charity of each brewery's choosing, and we will be splitting our funds between the NAACP and Black Lives Matter. We chose to put our own twist on their recipe by bringing in 75% barrel aged stout that we had in an oak barrel, blended with 25% young stout. The result is a sum that we feel is greater and far more complex than its parts. The aged beer brings notes of sherry, dark chocolate, dark fruit, and oak tannins, while the young portion brings a more pointed roast and hop character.
