Cherry Razz

“You always remember your first love,” said Mike Marr, owner/brewmaster of Buffalo Creek Brewing in Long Grove, IL. For Marr, that first love was Brown's Cherry Razz, a Brown’s original recipe he first fell in love with during his college days in the mid-90s at Troy’s Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In collaboration with Brown's, Buffalo Creek Brewing bewed Cherry Razz and will release it on Saturday, September 19. Both breweries will join together for a pint to mark the release. Join us in our taprooms or virtually around 5 pm to raise a pint to a beer that sparked passions, introduced people to craft beer, and continues to be a fan favorite. Click here to join in virtually.

First brewed close to three decades ago, this beer strikes a very positive chord. It was so well received back in the day that the public’s name for it, Cherry Razz, stuck as the official name. That’s taking ownership of a beer! The beer is a unique, undefined amber strong ale with a rich, fruit forward tone. Cherry Razz is a gateway into craft beer for some and a go to staple for others. Either way you enjoy it, cheers!
